Une Péniche sur le Fleuve de Seine, Versailles | April 20, 2010
I have just completed a commission for a French patron who hails from Versailles.
Unfortunately I was unable to jaunt off to the outskirts of Paris on such short notice, so I was inclined to work from photographs.
The scene depicts the patron's family's backyard abutting the famous river, with a French Barge (une Péniche) gliding along.
Although a relatively small oil painting(24" x 30"), I built up fairly thick impasto in places and enjoyed developing the varied textures.
New Web Project - Barn Hitches | April 20, 2010
Announcing the release of the completely new company website for Barn Hitches and Trailers.
Based in Queens, NY, Barn provides trailer and hitch sales and service to the New York City area.
I developed this site using a variety of coding techniques.
The home page includes some interesting integration of Flash video with semi-transparent CSS elements.
I've also incorporated Google Maps and a sliding image menu (on the trailers page) powered by JQuery.
